In my RSS feed this week came up a "How To" that I think everyone should do:
How to Keep a Career Log
I have a lot of friends that are in the job market, or are fearfully they soon will be, and are having a hard time with getting their resumes to speak to the people they are hoping will employ them. By keeping a Career Log it's easier to reflect on projects and roles you have experienced that may help you land that next position. :-)

You know I'm one for coming up with my own way for doing things, so I've decided in the last few months (after seeing lots of good reason to chart my accomplishments... it's been really frustrating to not know what to include on my professional bio!) if nothing else I'll start keeping a spreadsheet, text file, or presentation of all the "hats I've worn" and what has been entailed with each, accomplishments, what I could've done better, and what I've learned.
That way, it'll just be a copy and paste thing in the future when I need to reference it, or for goal building.
